Conveyance
A highway may be created by conveyance to a municipality of a fee interest or an easement. A conveyance is a transfer of legal title. The conveyance must satisfy all the formalities set forth in RSA 477 for conveyances of realty, and formal acceptance also is required. A town may delegate to the governing body the power to accept a deed.
